ISRAEL. PALESTINE. Drawing up the bridge

The Abraham Accords look set to be washed away.

Marco Rubio and Benjamin Netanyahu were due to make joint remarks Monday as Doha hosted an emergency summit of Arab and Islamic leaders to discuss Israel's recent attack. Monday marked the fifth anniversary of the Abraham Accords.

INTELLIGENCE. The US has condemned Israel's strike on a Hamas compound in Qatar but Rubio's visit to Jerusalem, with prayers at the Wailing Wall his first engagement, signals tacit support. If they don’t, the latest attacks in Gaza and Israel’s new settlement project in the West Bank will be blamed as much as the Qatar strikes. The UN voted to endorse a two-state solution Friday, 142 to 10.
